

Brenda Greggio is a San Diego Jazz /pianist/ musician/composer/singer, now living in New York City.
She graduated from The San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts with a major in Jazz studies. She now studies Piano Jazz at The Manhattan School of Music, under Ted Rosenthal.
Brenda began studying classical piano when she was 4, with Ms. Tanya Djangirov.
When she turned 8, she started taking jazz piano lessons. She studied Jazz with Philip Jay Lim, Gilbert Castellanos, Kamau Kenyatta, Danny Green, Dr. John Reynolds, Katie Thiroux and Lee Secard.
She was a student of the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory in San Diego and of the Colburn Music School in Los Angeles.
Accomplished beyond her years, she earned two National Young Arts Foundation Awards, she already participated in two Monterey Jazz Festival Editions with the Women in Jazz, Brenda was also awarded Outstanding Composition and Outstanding Arrangement in the DownBeat SMA Competition, among many other accomplishments.
Brenda is also one of the few global scholarship recipients of the Sony Music Group Global Scholars Program, a new initiative designed to help educate the next generation of music leaders in the world.
